A 17-year-old girl attempted suicide by setting herself on fire yesterday, after the accused, her ex-teacher was bailed out from prison. She said, she feared further harassment from him. She was admitted to Goa Medical College and Hospital with almost 90 per cent burn injuries. She was studying in the city-based Progress High School, and said she was raped by her teacher in December last year when she had gone to his residence for remedial classes. Full report here
