Woman Bleeds To Death After Forced Abortion of Female Fetus

18 Relatives Forced Pooja To Abort Her Girl Child

Pooja Salot filed a complaint against her husband and 18 relatives from the in-laws family for subjecting her to mental and physical torture for giving birth to girls,  and forcing her to undergo an abortion when she was found to be carrying another female fetus.  The late term aborted fetus that she gave birth to as ‘a still born girl’ was secretly buried by the family’s chauffeur who was paid Rs. 100 for the job.  Read the report here

Woman Dies During Forced Abortion of Female Fetus

Baljinder Kaur, 32, died when her husband and in-laws forced her to undergo an abortion in the third month of her pregnancy when tests revealed that she was carrying a female fetus. ‘‘My daughter died due to lack of proper medical care by her in-laws. They must be punished for her abortion against her wishes, which led to her death’’, her mother Jaspal said in her complaint.  Read the full report here
