The father of a 16-year-old girl was ordered by the village panchayat (judiciary) to not only to marry off his daughter to a man who had raped her but also to pay Rs. 50,000 in cash and a motorcycle in dowry to the accused!

who are just helping the richest and powerful families .India has to get out of this feodal system to become a modern and rich democracy where human rights will be respected .Just no , it is just HELL !!
This is just disgusting. We hear about countless stories about women and the atrocities done to them and no solution to the problem or follow up as to if they got justice or not. India and their MENtality is just vile and something seriously needs to be done from an international standpoint because you have Indian politicians saying rape is a trivial issue and reporting and highlighting such acts is affecting tourism.
